Diana Giraldo is the Co-founder, President, and CEO of Streets Alive of SWFL, a local non-profit dedicated to creating safe places for cyclists and pedestrians in SWFL. In partnership with Lee County, Diana’s organization successfully championed the completion of bike paths and sidewalk extensions in Ward 6, creating safe, off-street, passage for children and families to neighboring schools, shopping, medical services, and community spaces.
She is passionate about community engagement, and understands the power of inclusive community development. Her understanding of the financial impact of workforce housing began in her leadership role at “Women Build” for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge in Louisiana, where she personally identified with the impact of housing that is safe and affordable for working single moms as a single mom herself.
